RIVER TROPICS @ Permatang Pauh

River Tropics is named after the majestic river near the condo. The affordable 148 units condominium with green features is ideally situated in Permatang Pauh merely next to Tesco Extra, and in close proximity to the First Penang Bridge.

This project is New Bob’s stepping stone in developing more affordable green homes for everyone to enjoy the similiar green features without bearing the additional cost. It’s also believed to be the first green condominium in Seberang Jaya. With a focus on energy efficiency green ratings, River Tropics is looking at achieving a double gold certification from Singapore’s BCA Green Mark and Malaysia’s GreenRE.

The units are designed to enable ample natural lightning and ventilation, something that has yet to be incorporated in any condo project in Seberang Jaya. One of its selling points is the strategic location that is facing the main river, paving way for ample natural breeze into the condominium. Besides that, passive designs will be injected into the condo including the design and orientation of the building rather than using active design elements such as e glass and timber door.

At 18-storeys high, it consists of 140 standard units and 8 duplex units. The build up for the standard units range from 1,300 sq ft – 1,500 sq ft, while the larger units known as duplex range from 2,300 sq ft – 4,113 sq ft. Four of the duplexes are penthouses that open up to the rooftop facilities deck, and the other four are garden units situated on the fifth floor. Being a waterfront development, each unit enjoys a balcony that varies in sizes according to the unit type.
