New Bob wins platinum and gold awards for its green projects

New Bob Group’s latest green projects — The Manor and Preston Oaks on Penang island, have received the platinum and gold awards respectively from GreenRE.
New Bob Group managing director Dr Lee Ville said the company had always placed emphasis on building eco-friendly green homes.
“This includes maximising the use of natural energy in reducing the consumption of energy from non-renewable sources to reduce carbon footprint.
“The company is also the green home pioneer in Penang. There are not many green homes available on the island,” Lee said in a press statement on Wednesday.
The Manor, located in the prime residential neighbourhood of Codrington Avenue, is an eco-friendly bungalow project comprising three exclusive units.
The total built-up for this development ranges from 5,576sq ft to 5,804sq ft per unit, tagged with a selling price that starts from RM5.05mil.
The Preston Oaks, located in Lim Mah Chye Road, comprises four bungalow units, with built-up areas ranging from 6,634sq ft to 7,221sq ft, with selling price from RM6.25mil.
“Our group has gone a long way to achieve the success that the company is currently savouring and we will be celebrating our 55th emerald year anniversary this year.
“New Bob Group employs a diversified business module ranging from property development, property management, assisting expatriates to obtain legal residency in Malaysia to renting a car,” Dr Lee said.
GreenRE (Green Real Estate), initiated by Rehda, is a green building and carbonrating tool developed to encourage the property industry to be sustainable. It also emphasises on passive design.
It involves assessing a building’s performance such as energy efficiency, water efficiency, environmental protection, indoor environmental quality and carbon emissions of the development.
